What we do

YICF is a vibrant network of Indonesians, expats, and refugees, working together to create better lives and brighter futures for marginalized communities in Jakarta.

With 20 paid staff and over 50 volunteers, we are directly serving over 270 refugees and 130-150 Indonesian children in poverty through education, financial assistance, and vocational development opportunities.

Roshan learning center

Roshan is a community-led initiative providing education to over 100 children, youth, and adult refugees. We focus on providing a safe and healing learning space, especially for unaccompanied minors. Students take language/literacy, math, science and soft skills classes, as well as art and PE activities.

Most students are from Afghanistan (Hazara) and Iran. Roshan recently opened to refugees from other countries, such as Iraq and Ethiopia.
